When to Go to Vienna

As in the rest of Europe, in Vienna you will find the four seasons well-defined. Hot summer, freezing winter (at least for our tropical standards), spring with mild temperatures and autumn full of beautiful landscapes, but more “cold”.

Those who wish to visit a less crowded city, and also save on accommodation, should avoid the hottest seasons of the year, such as June, July and August. January and February can be good alternatives, but you must take into account the intense cold. To face the period, you will need appropriate jackets, boots, socks, a hat, scarf and gloves.

Good times to visit the city, in terms of mild temperatures, are spring and autumn. From March, for example, the days become longer, the sun appears more frequently, and that means taking more advantage of all that the city has to offer.

In September, thermometers will certainly show lower temperatures, but, in general, calmer than in winter. In addition, the season is highly recommended for those who enjoy shooting. That’s because autumn brings breathtaking bucolic landscapes.
